Continuing its sustained efforts to engage youth in constructive sporting activities, the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council organised a special gymnastics event under the banner of ‘My Youth My Pride’ in Jammu.
The event, as per a statement issued, witnessed enthusiastic participation from young gymnasts and sports enthusiasts. The event reflected the growing interest among the youth in gymnastics and physical fitness. Participants showcased their skills and talent in various gymnastics activities, displaying discipline, agility and sporting spirit.
The programme was graced by Bashir Ahmed Bakshi, Divisional Sports Officer, Jammu, as the Chief Guest, while Sahaj Sabharwal attended as the Guest of Honour. The dignitaries appreciated the dedication and enthusiasm of the young participants and lauded the efforts of the organisers in promoting sports and healthy lifestyles among the youth.
The Gymnastics event forms part of a series of sporting activities being organised by the J&K Sports Council across the Union Territory under the ‘My Youth My Pride’ initiative. The Council has been conducting events in multiple disciplines to provide young athletes with opportunities to participate, showcase their talent and develop a culture of sports and fitness.
