Kargil, Feb 13: Director General of Police, Ladakh, Mukesh Singh on Friday assured continued efforts to strengthen police-public relations during his maiden visit to Kargil, where he reviewed policing arrangements and interacted with civil society members across the district.
Upon his arrival at Dak Bungalow, Bodhkharbu, he was received by the superintendent of Police Kargil Nitin Yadav and senior officers. The DGP met and interacted with members of the Civil Society of Bodhkharbu.
En route to Kargil, DGP Ladakh Mukesh Singh inspected Police Post Khangral and visited Police Station Wakha, where he inspected the ongoing developmental works and conducted a detailed review of crime status and law & order issues in the area. An interactive meeting with members of the Civil Society was also held at Police Station Wakha. The meeting was attended by Councillor Shargol Mohd Javed, President LBA Kargil Tsering Samphel, Nurboo (Retd. SDM), LBA Women President, and other prominent citizens of the area. Addressing public meetings at both venues, the DGP assured the Civil Society that Ladakh Police remains committed to strengthening Police–Public relations and maintaining a highly professional approach in tackling emerging crimes and law & order challenges.
