Kupwara, Oct 1: A two-year-old boy died after accidentally falling into a water tub at his home in Qalamabad area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said Thursday.

The incident occurred Thursday afternoon when the child accidentally fell into the tub at his home.
He was initially taken to the New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC) Qalamabad and later shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara, where he remained under treatment.
The child was subsequently shifted to a hospital in Srinagar, where he succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, the official said.
The deceased was identified as Shahnaz Shafat, 2, son of Shafat Ahmad Reshi, a resident of Qalamabad.
