Anantnag, Oct 16: Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Dr Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, has directed the concerned departments to resolve bottlenecks in a time-bound manner and ensure timely completion of the Transit Accommodation Project being developed under the Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP) for PM Package employees in the district.

Chairing a review meeting at the DC Office Complex here on Thursday, the DC reviewed the progress of construction work and the availability of essential infrastructure, including road connectivity, drinking water supply and electricity.

He took stock of pending works, implementation-related challenges and interdepartmental coordination, stressing that all components of the project must progress simultaneously to avoid delays.

Dr Bhat directed the executing agencies and line departments to work in close coordination, address outstanding issues on priority and take prompt corrective measures wherever required.

He also called for regular field inspections, effective monitoring and periodic assessment of physical progress to ensure adherence to prescribed timelines and quality standards.

Emphasising the need to make the accommodation fully functional, the DC said essential infrastructure, particularly road connectivity, water supply and electricity, must be prioritised to ensure the facility is ready for its intended beneficiaries.
