The meet, as per a statement, aimed to promote physical fitness, sportsmanship and healthy competition while encouraging students to balance academic pursuits with sports and extracurricular activities.

Prof. Mohammad Abid Bazaz Dean Students Welfare said sports and extracurricular activities were essential for the holistic development of students.

“Education is not confined to classrooms. Participation in sports helps students develop leadership, discipline, teamwork and resilience. The institute remains committed to providing students with opportunities to pursue their interests alongside academics,” he said.

Dr Manoj Kumar, In-charge Faculty, SAS, said the event was part of the institute’s efforts to encourage greater participation in sports and fitness activities.

“Sports play an important role in the overall development of students. The athletics meet provides them an opportunity to showcase their abilities, build confidence and develop discipline and a spirit of healthy competition,” he said.
