Srinagar, Mar 31: A car dealership in Kashmir has come under serious allegations from multiple customers, who claim they were taken for a ride after making full payments for vehicles that were never delivered.
According to the aggrieved customers, they had paid substantial amounts to the dealership for the purchase of vehicles, but despite repeated assurances, the cars were not handed over within the promised timelines.
The customers allege that the dealership continued to delay deliveries on one pretext or another, leaving them in distress and uncertainty.
“We trusted the dealership and completed the payments as required, but time has passed, and there is no sign of delivery. Every time we approach them, we are given new excuses,” one of the affected customers said.
The customers further stated that the situation has caused not only financial strain but also mental harassment, as many had planned their personal and business commitments around the expected delivery of the vehicles.
Expressing frustration over the alleged misconduct, the customers said they are now preparing to seek legal recourse. “If the dealership fails to resolve the issue immediately, we will be left with no option but to approach the consumer court and pursue legal action against them,” another customer added.
They alleged that the dealership’s conduct amounts to a breach of trust and demanded immediate intervention by the concerned authorities to ensure accountability and protect consumer rights.
“This is unacceptable. We paid in good faith, and such practices cannot be allowed to continue. We want either immediate delivery of the vehicles or a full refund,” the customers asserted.
The incident has raised concerns over consumer protection and business ethics in the region, with calls for stricter oversight to prevent such cases in the future.
