Jammu, Sep 26: Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat on Saturday visited Udhampur and took stock of the ongoing anti-terror operations in the higher reaches bordering Kathua, a route used by infiltrating terrorists in the past to penetrate the hinterland, officials said.
The visit of the police chief comes days after two Pakistani terrorists affiliated with proscribed Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) outfit were killed in a joint operation by army, police and CRPF in Soan area of Majalta on September 17.
Accompanied by Inspector General of police, Jammu range, Tejinder Singh, the DGP reviewed the ongoing operations on Udhampur-Kathua faultline, Udhampur police said in a post on X.
In another post, the police said the officers also felicitated the brave personnel, whose extraordinary efforts fructified in neutralisation of two Pakistani Jaish terrorists, in Operation Soan.
