The 10th Global Leaders’ Conference (GLC Srinagar 2026) brought together educationists, academicians, industry experts, public-service professionals, entrepreneurs, technology specialists and sustainability advocates to discuss sustainable education, business and health.
Held under the theme “Sustainable Education • Sustainable Business • Sustainable Health,” the conference provided a platform for discussions on leadership, technology, environmental responsibility, health and community development.
The conference opened with an interactive exercise built around the message, “My Word. My Action. My Future,” encouraging participants to identify one word they wanted to define the planet’s future and link it with individual action.
Prof. Shakil Ahmad Romshoo, Vice Chancellor of the Islamic University of Science and Technology, delivered the inaugural address.
Sayed Humayun Qaisar, IB(P)S, was also honoured for his contribution to the sustainability dialogue, including his focus on sustainable tourism and Kashmir’s future.
A session on sustainable education, chaired by Dr. Farooq Ahmad Wasil, Chief Academic Officer, Vasal Education Group, focused on future-ready skills, equity, innovation, AI, global citizenship and human-centred learning.
The sustainable business, leadership and health session, chaired by Lt. Gen. Anil Malik, AVSM (Retd.), featured Dr. Sayed Anwar Bari and Dr. Haleema Sadia. Discussions covered green entrepreneurship, ESG, women’s economic participation, community health and responsible leadership.
Virtual and international sessions further explored AI, ethical leadership, green business, circular economy and planetary health.
A dedicated segment examined Kashmir’s sustainability challenges, including youth climate leadership, sustainable tourism, the Himalayan water crisis, circular economy and community-led development.
The conference concluded with an Honour and Award Ceremony recognising contributions to education, sustainability, public service, AI, environmental conservation, health, communication and community development.
The organisers acknowledged the support of Raffles Education Institute, Shehlat Foundation, Munsif TV, Assad Advertisers and Kashmir Mahal Resorts, along with delegates, volunteers and the organising team.
The conference concluded with a vote of thanks by Ghulam Abbas, vice chairman of the Shehlat Foundation, reaffirming the need to translate knowledge and leadership into measurable action for a more sustainable future.
