Awantipora, Oct 18: The Centre for AYUSH Science at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) organised a free Natool and Hammam wellness camp at its AYUSH Health and Wellness Centre on October 5 to promote relaxation and mental well-being.
A total of 20 patients enrolled in the camp, which focused on Natool, a traditional Unani therapy involving therapeutic irrigation, as a supportive wellness intervention for people experiencing stress and anxiety-related concerns.
The camp also offered Hammam, a traditional full-body steaming practice intended to promote relaxation and general well-being.
The initiative aimed to make traditional wellness services accessible to the university community and the wider public while raising awareness about non-pharmacological approaches to stress management.
The Centre said the camp was part of its broader effort to promote AYUSH systems of medicine and explore the role of traditional therapeutic practices through scientific evaluation and evidence-based approaches.
The Centre for AYUSH Science continues to undertake healthcare outreach and research initiatives aimed at assessing traditional practices and their appropriate integration into contemporary healthcare settings.
