JSW MG Motor India has unveiled the Hector Tomahawk, the first vehicle engineered on its Advanced Drive Architecture Platform Technology (ADAPT), which the company describes as India’s first multi-new-energy-vehicle (NEV) platform.
The new SUV will be offered in both electric vehicle (EV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) versions, expanding the company’s NEV portfolio and giving customers a choice based on their driving requirements.
Under an introductory Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) offer available for a limited number of bookings, the Hector Tomahawk EV is priced at Rs 13.99 lakh plus a battery rental of Rs 4.90 per km. The PHEV starts at ₹21.79 lakh plus Rs 3.20 per km in battery rental.
The company said the Hector Tomahawk combines intelligent technology, premium comfort, safety features and electrified performance, while offering the space and connected features expected in a SUV.
Parth Jindal, Director, JSW MG Motor India, said the launch marked a milestone in the company’s efforts to build a sustainable mobility ecosystem in India.
He said the EV and PHEV variants reflected the company’s focus on offering mobility solutions while supporting the country’s transition towards cleaner transportation.
Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director, JSW MG Motor India, said the future of mobility would involve multiple technology pathways rather than a single solution.
He said the Hector Tomahawk was the first SUV to bring the ADAPT platform’s multi-NEV approach to market, combining EV and plug-in hybrid technologies to address consumer needs and driving patterns.
