Leh, Oct 22: The Office of Ladakh Chief Electoral Officer Rahul Sharma has notified the final publication of the municipal electoral rolls for municipal committee Leh and municipal committee Kargil, with October 1, 2026, as the qualifying date.
According to a public notice issued by the CEO’s office, the final electoral rolls have been published by the respective Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) for both municipal committees.
The electoral rolls are available for inspection at the offices of the respective Electoral Registration Officers and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) of Municipal Committee Leh and Municipal Committee Kargil, it said.
All electors and recognised political parties have been advised to inspect the published rolls and verify the particulars of the electors included therein.
The notice further states that any individual who has objections regarding the final publication of the electoral rolls may file an appeal in accordance with Rule 13 of the Municipal Election Rules, 2003, before the designated authority as prescribed by the rules.
The CEO’s office has urged all concerned parties to take note of this notification and exercise their rights in accordance with the applicable regulations.
