Jammu, Sep 25: Police on Friday stated to have achieved a significant breakthrough in the investigation of the recent firing incident on National Highway at Tarore, Bari Brahmana, Samba, with the arrest of an accused person wanted in connection with the case.
Acting on specific information regarding the movement of the accused, the teams of Police in Samba launched a coordinated operation during patrolling in the jurisdictional area of Police Station Vijaypur.
“During the operation, one of the teams arrested accused person Harish alias Herry, son of Harbans Lal, resident of Ranjri district Samba. The arrested accused Harish alias Herry was involved in the recent firing incident on NH at Tarore occurred within the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana and accordingly was wanted in case FIR number 284 /2026 u/s 109 BNS, 3/27 Arms Act of Police Station Bari Brahmana,” Police said.
