Security forces bust hideout in Keran; arms, war-like stores recovered

Srinagar, July 6: Security forces on Monday recovered arms, ammunition and other war-like stores after they busted a hideout in Keran sector of Kupwara district.

Officials of Army’s Chinar Corps said that on July 06, 2026, a specific intelligence input was received following which a search operation was launched by Indian Army in the general area of Keran Sector, Kupwara.

During search, security forces busted a hideout and recovered 5 AK series rifles, 9 AK magazines, 1 hand grenade, a huge cache of ammunition and other war-like stores, officials said.
