Students of SRM Welkin Higher Secondary School, Sopore, have achieved a 100 per cent podium finish at the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Challenge (YEY’26), a national-level competition hosted by Invictus International School, Amritsar.

Five teams representing SRM Welkin participated in the two-day event held on August 10 and 11, competing against 64 teams from different states across India. All five teams secured positions among the top three, winning two Gold and three Silver medals.

The achievement marks a significant performance for the school, with every team it entered managing to secure a podium position at the national-level competition.

The event brought together young participants from across the country to compete, innovate, exchange ideas and demonstrate their entrepreneurial abilities.

The first day featured an opening ceremony followed by workshops conducted by ATLAS, UPES and Plaksha University. Students also took part in interactive activities, including Memory Shot, learning sessions and cultural presentations featuring classical dance and lamp lighting. The programme also included an address by the Director.

The second day focused on the core entrepreneurial challenge, with participating teams presenting their ideas before a jury across multiple sessions. The programme also featured a keynote interaction with Aman Gupta, co-founder of boAt, along with a conversation with the School Director and a Talent Show.

The sessions provided students with exposure to entrepreneurship, leadership, communication, creativity and idea presentation.

According to the school, its students demonstrated confidence, innovation, teamwork, entrepreneurial thinking and presentation skills while competing with teams from across the country.

“Their ability to identify real-world challenges, develop meaningful solutions and present their ideas with clarity and conviction was truly commendable,” the school said.

The school described the achievement as a reflection of its emphasis on innovation and experiential learning.

“Five teams, five podium finishes, two Golds and three Silvers is not merely a collection of medals; it is a reflection of the culture of excellence, opportunity and innovation that we strive to create at SRM Welkin,” the school said.
