Superintendent of Police (SP), Headquarters Anna Sinha on Tuesday stated that three persons were arrested, in connection with the death of a woman under suspicious circumstances in R S Pura on September 20.
SP Sinha, in a press conference, shared that a six-member medical board conducted the post-mortem of the deceased’s body.
“The exact cause of death will be established after the report,” she added. Sinha said that the Police acted swiftly in the case and arrested the three persons within one hour. “No one will be spared. Statements are being recorded and the action will be taken as per law after the investigation,” she said.
The last rites of the deceased 38-year-old Sushma Devi were performed by her agitated family and relatives at her in-laws’ place on Monday after protests.
