The residents said the completion of the Wet Mix Macadam (WBM) layer and the ongoing Dense Bituminous Macadam (DBM) and Bituminous Concrete (BC) works have significantly improved the road surface.

They said the work was progressing at a fast pace while maintaining technical standards and quality control despite the challenging terrain and climatic conditions.

Aftab Ahmad Kohli, Lumberdar of Halqa Nawarunda, said the improved road had brought considerable relief to residents who had long faced difficulties while travelling.

Mohd Arif, Chowkidar of Nawarunda (Dardkote), also appreciated the efforts of the BRO and said the upgraded road would improve access to essential services for residents.

The residents said better road connectivity would not only facilitate the movement of local residents but also improve access to healthcare, education and other essential services.

They also said the upgraded road was expected to facilitate the smooth movement of Army vehicles and strengthen connectivity in the strategically significant area.

The residents particularly appreciated the role of Project Beacon and HQ 53 RCC in supervising and executing the project, saying the agencies had maintained a focus on workmanship and quality.

They expressed hope that the remaining works would be completed at the earliest and that the road would emerge as a reliable all-weather communication link for the people of the region.

The residents extended their gratitude to BRO personnel and all agencies associated with the project, describing the road upgrade as important for both the local population and national interest.
