Dr Andrabi was accompanied by Waqf Board Members Dr Ghulam Nabi Haleem and Syed Mohammad Hussain Haqani, along with Ishtiyaq Mohiuddin, Tehsildar-cum-Executive Magistrate of the J&K Waqf Board.

The newly constructed facilities, as per a statement issued, mark a significant milestone in the ongoing development of Chrar-e-Sharief and reflect the J&K Waqf Board’s continued focus on strengthening infrastructure at important religious and spiritual centres across Jammu & Kashmir.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Dr Andrabi highlighted the importance of these infrastructure projects, stating that the development of facilities at revered shrines is essential for improving arrangements for devotees and visitors while preserving the spiritual and cultural heritage of these historic places. “Development is now synonymous with the J&K Waqf Board, and this mission will continue. We are committed to transforming our religious institutions through planned infrastructure development, improved facilities and better management.

Our endeavour is to ensure that our revered shrines retain their spiritual sanctity while providing better amenities to the people,” Dr Andrabi said. Waqf Chairperson later convened a meeting with the Board authorities, local management and the eminent persons from the civil society of the town.
