Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat, accompanied by IG Jammu zone Tejinder Singh, on Saturday visited Udhampur to felicitate the brave personnel, whose efforts fructified in neutralisation of two Pakistani Jaish terrorists in Op Soan on September 17, 2026.
DGP, during his visit, also assessed the counter terror operations, presently underway in Udhampur-Kathua area and operational preparedness.
The top cop of J&K reviewed the evolving security environment, operational dynamics and measures to sustain relentless operational tempo, ensuring a swift, coordinated and decisive response to emerging threats.
On September 17, in a joint operation of Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) and the CRPF two Jaish terrorists were eliminated under “Operation Sohan (Soan)” in Brattal-Soan area of Udhampur district.
