The Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council on Monday successfully conducted the opening day of the UT-Level Junior Boys Football Trials, with 86 aspiring footballers from across the Union Territory turning up to stake claim for a place in the J&K team.
According to the participation details, 59 players from the Kashmir Division and 27 from the Jammu Division attended the first day’s trials, reflecting strong enthusiasm among young footballers to represent the Union Territory at the national level.
The trials, as per a statement, are being conducted to identify the best talent from both divisions for the formation of the J&K Junior Boys team. Players were assessed by the selection panel on various aspects, including technical ability, tactical awareness, physical fitness and overall match temperament.
