Aqua Kashmir Avengers FC booked their place in the final of the Khyber Kashmir Super League (KKSL) Season 2 after beating New JK United FC 3-2 in a thrilling Qualifier 2 on Wednesday.
The high-intensity encounter, as per a statement, saw both sides produce an attacking display, but Aqua Kashmir Avengers held their nerve to secure a narrow victory and seal their place in the title clash.
New JK United FC fought hard throughout the contest and managed to find the net twice, but Aqua Kashmir Avengers scored three goals to finish the match 3-2 in their favour with Ahteeb receiving the man of the match award for his outstanding performance.
With the victory, Aqua Kashmir Avengers FC will now face Athwas India XI FC in the KKSL Season 2 final on Friday 25th. Athwas India XI had already secured their place in the summit clash after defeating their opponents in Qualifier 1.
The final is set to bring together two of the tournament’s strongest sides, with Aqua Kashmir Avengers entering the title clash on the back of their impressive knockout-stage victory.
The Khyber Kashmir Super League Season 2, powered by Athwas Retail and Athwas Hyundai, has brought together talented footballers from across Kashmir and provided a competitive platform for players to showcase their skills.
