Two boys from Srinagar missing during trek in Kangan forest traced; safely brought to police station Gund

Ganderbal, Oct 09: Two boys hailing from Srinagar, who earlier went missing after reportedly losing their way while trekking in the forest area of Rayil Gund of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, have been traced and brought back safely.

An official said that teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) unit at Gund, Gund Police Station and the Dial 112 unit launched a search operation after receiving information about the missing boys Thursday evening. 

Both the boys have been traced and brought back to the police station Gund. He said the duo had sought assistance through the emergency helpline Dial 112 after losing their way in the forest on Thursday.

Officials said the duo is being questioned and further details are awaited.
