The family and relatives of a woman, who was found hanging at her in-laws’ place in Sai Sardari, Suchetgarh on Sunday evening under suspicious circumstances, joined by locals held a protest demonstration in Suchetgarh-R S Pura on Monday.
Alleging foul play behind her death, the protesters sought stringent action against the culprits.
Police shifted the body of the deceased woman, identified as 38-year old Sushma Devi, to Government Medical College (GMC) hospital Jammu for post-mortem.
Police, which pacified the protesters, started investigation after registration of the case in this connection. The Police also stated to have arrested the main accused.
