India, Russia hold 7th round of UN consultations in New Delhi

New Delhi, March 17: The 7th India-Russia United Nations Consultations were held in the national capital on Tuesday, bringing together senior officials from both sides to discuss key multilateral issues.

The meeting was co-chaired by Secretary (West) Sibi George and Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Alimov.

During the consultations, India and Russia exchanged views on their respective priorities at the United Nations. Discussions focused on key aspects of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) agenda, including counterterrorism efforts, peacekeeping operations, and the need for comprehensive reforms of the Security Council.

Both sides also explored ways to strengthen coordination on multilateral platforms, underscoring their continued engagement on global governance issues.
