In a bid to curb the spread of the drug menace, Civil Society Tullamulla organised the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Cricket Tournament under the 100 Days Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign at Hyderia Cricket Ground, Tullamulla.
The trophy, unveiled by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, on 5 June 2026 here during Pad Yatra as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, aims to promote a drug-free society by encouraging youth participation in sports and other positive activities.
The inaugural match was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), Ganderbal, Sheikh Salauddin, and Deputy Superintendent of Police (Headquarters), Ganderbal, Dr Urfaan, as chief guests. Addressing the gathering, the officials appreciated the initiative of Civil Society Tullamulla in using sports as a powerful medium to spread awareness against drug abuse.
They emphasised the importance of community participation and youth engagement in building a healthier, safer, and drug-free society.
The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from players, sports enthusiasts, officials, and local residents, making the inaugural event a grand success. “Through this initiative, Civil Society Tullamulla reaffirmed its commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles, social responsibility, and the spirit of sportsmanship among the youth,” Manzoor Ahmad, a member of Civil Society Tulmulla, said.
