Srinagar, Sep 21: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members on Monday interrupted Question Hour in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, raising slogans as the proceedings continued.
The BJP legislators raised slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram” inside the House.
Despite the interruptions, Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather asked the members to allow the Question Hour to proceed.
“You keep going. We will start the Question Hour,” the Speaker told the House.
The BJP MLAs, however, continued raising slogans as the Question Hour was taken up.
The developments came shortly after the autumn session of the J&K Legislative Assembly commenced, with Speaker Rather appealing to legislators to ensure smooth proceedings and utilise the limited time of the short session judiciously.
