The Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) and Border Security Force (BSF) on Monday conducted a joint anti-tunnel search operation along the International Border (IB) in the Arnia area of Jammu to bolster security and maintain heightened vigilance.
“In the area of Border Out Post (BOP) Pittal under the jurisdiction of Border Police Post (BPP) Allah, the search operation was carried out jointly by Jammu Police and the 101 Battalion, Border Security Force (BSF), as part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen border security and maintain heightened vigilance along the International Border,” a Police spokesperson said.
The teams, according to the spokesperson, conducted a thorough search of the designated area to detect any suspicious activity or the presence of underground tunnels that could be used for illegal cross-border movement.
“The search operation concluded successfully, and no suspicious activity or tunnel was detected. The overall security situation in the area remained peaceful and normal,” the spokesperson maintained, adding that the JKP, in close coordination with the BSF and other security agencies, continued to maintain a high level of alertness and regularly conduct such operations to ensure the safety and security of the border areas.
