The player bidding ceremony for the second season of the Khyber Cement Kashmir Super League was successfully conducted, with around 200 footballers going under the hammer as six franchises finalised their squads for the upcoming tournament.

The Khyber Cement Kashmir Super League 2026 is powered by Athwas Retail and Athwas Hyundai.

The bidding, as per a statement, witnessed participation from around 200 talented footballers, who went under the hammer as the six participating franchises competed to build their squads for the upcoming season. Following an intense and competitive bidding process, all six teams successfully secured their respective players, completing their squads ahead of the league.

The ceremony brought together franchise owners, team representatives, coaches, footballers, league officials and organisers, reflecting the growing professional structure and popularity of the Kashmir Super League. The player bidding also provided a valuable platform for local footballers to showcase their talent and earn an opportunity to compete at a higher level.

The six franchises — United Elegant FC, Sanctorum United, Aqua Kashmir Avengers FC, Swift Strikers Rainawari FC, Athwas India XI FC and New JK United FC — have now assembled their squads and will begin preparations for the second season.

The Kashmir Super League extends its sincere gratitude to its organising team, franchise owners, sponsors, partners, coaches, players, officials, volunteers and supporters whose collective efforts made the Season 2 Player Bidding Ceremony a successful and professionally conducted event.

The league is proudly supported by its valued sponsors and partners, whose association continues to play an important role in making the tournament a larger and more professionally organised sporting platform. Special appreciation goes to Events Emporio, Nivia, NITIans Career Institute, Labaika Hajj & Umrah, Amul and J&K Sports Council for their valuable support and association with the league.

The statement added, “We also extend our heartfelt thanks to all six franchise owners and management teams for their commitment, trust and contribution towards building a stronger and more competitive football league in Jammu & Kashmir.”

Following the success of Season 1, which witnessed tremendous fan engagement and significant digital reach, Season 2 aims to raise the bar further by providing players with a professionally structured and competitive platform while bringing high-quality football closer to fans across Jammu & Kashmir.

The league will feature six franchise teams competing for the coveted Kashmir Super League title at the TRC Ground, Srinagar.
