Jammu, Oct 26: For the speedy disposal of pending cases of Compassionate Ground Appointment (CGA), Northern Railway’s Jammu Division is organising ‘CGA Adalat-2026’.
As per the instructions of the Railway Board, this special Adalat will be held on November 10, 2026 from 11 am to 5 pm at the Officer Rest House, Pathankot Railway Station.
“The Adalat will be chaired by the Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Jammu and the Senior Divisional Personnel Officer of the division will also be specially present, so that the cases can be thoroughly reviewed and disposed of on the spot,” said Raghvender Singh, Public Relations Inspector, Jammu Railway Division.
According to Singh, this Adalat will mainly consider cases of dependents or widows of those railway employees who died untimely during service or who were declared medically completely unfit for service, or who went missing during service.
“Interested and eligible applicants can submit their detailed representation along with two sets of all necessary supporting documents by November 5, 2026 at the Personnel Branch, Divisional Railway Manager Office Annexe Building, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu,” he said.
The Railways has clarified that only cases registered under Jammu (Railway) Division will be considered in this Adalat.
“Apart from this, no discussion will be held in this Adalat on cases which have already been closed or which are currently pending in the court. Apart from policy matters, all other valid cases will be disposed of as per the extant rules and provisions of the Railways,” Singh said.
The railway administration has appealed to all concerned dependents to submit their applications within the stipulated time frame.
